We are PONTON People

We, the PONTON people, are proud to be part of PONTON, where each of us brings our unique touch to the energy industry. 

This year, we continued our tradition with the annual Offsite event in Travemünde. A detailed recap will be available in our next blog article. 

In this post, we want to highlight our team connection and how we feel as integral parts of PONTON, both as individuals and as a company. PONTON thrives on diversity, making us more vibrant and dynamic. We cherish diverse backgrounds and languages within our team. 

We enjoy lunch together three times a week, using this time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. These lunches, though simple, are one of the best team buildings approaches a company can arrange. We are even discussing having a vegan day once a month to support our vegan and vegetarian colleagues. 

In addition to our lunches, we have a monthly PONTON board game night, which adds a splash of color and fun to our office environment. 

As a tech company, people might assume we are a bunch of nerds glued to our computers, but at PONTON, we strive to keep our team spirit young and fun. Our occasional Get-Together events allow us to enjoy drinks and each other’s company.  

Managing discussions and solving problems within a company of 70 people is not an easy task. At PONTON, we have a culture of organising sessions based on the Open Space Format for this purpose. The “Open Space” provides an opportunity for a large group of people to engage in solution-oriented discussions. We work on a topic in smaller groups, and afterwards, we present the results from the small groups to the entire company. 

We also hosted a Hackathon, an event where we implement AI in our office life. One of the most funny projects from the last Hackathon was the development of a lunch tool to assist our back-office colleagues who organize our meals.

For over 20 years, PONTON has been a second home to our team. With around 70 members and growing each year, we continue to evolve and innovate for the energy industry.
