PONTON Donates X-mas Marketing Budget to Charity

Before 2020, we sent Christmas cards and gifts to our clients each year. With COVID-19 nobody was in the office anymore, so that made little sense. In 2020, we decided to donate to charity the budget we would have otherwise spent on Christmas cards, gifts and mailing. Since then, we have donated to Go Banyo, Hinz & Kunst, and Arztmobil Hamburg. The common theme to all these charities is their homebase Hamburg and their work for vulnerable populations right on our doorsteps.

Doing something for three consecutive years makes it established practice. In 2023 we will continue this tradition, donating the budget to Ukrainehilfe Hamburg Ukrainehilfe Hamburg, an alliance of local charities organized through the Bürgerstiftung Hamburg. Since Russia attacked in 2022, more than 40,000 people from Ukraine have sought refuge in Hamburg, mainly women, children, and elderly people. Hamburg is a big city with a big heart, but that is a lot of people to house and children to educate. Ukrainehilfe Hamburg helps in providing extra language training, sports activities for kids, mentoring for job seekers and therapy for traumatized people.
